Not because I believe the hype but because it seems that yet another person has lost their imagination. In an age that thrives on style over substance it is compelling to make grand pronouncements ("God is dead" anyone?). But, I think it's far more compelling to do good work and to dream big. What's more, most of these grand pronouncements are aimed inward at one sort of clique or another. The world is a big place and the vast majority of the world's people ignore facile announcements and continue their awkward march into the future.
